BLS for Medical Professionals

Basic Life Support, or BLS, is a level of medical care used for victims of life-threatening illnesses or injuries until they can be given full medical care at a hospital. Certification in BLS follows the ILCOR’s guidelines for training individuals to recognize life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to all ages, administer the use of an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. We are affiliated with CPR Training School Alpharetta for BLS. This course offers participants clear, easy to view videos, instructional updates, with a quick skills check out.

In these course, you’ll learn:

  • How to perform CPR

  • How to use an AED

  • Skills for treating choking and shock victims

  • A variety of first aid skills

Participants have the option to purchase BLS Provider Manual or the E-book directly from the American Heart Association here. You can find the paperback copy here. Or, the e-book copy here. The cost is about $15-20 plus taxes and shipping on the AHA website.
